Yes I’m a little (a lot) obsessed with blackberries right now! Probably because I have so many I need to make use of already! My blackberry bushes are producing so well this summer, I’m loving it! I’ve never made a blackberry pie so I searched on the internet and even found some old family recipes. I’ve pieced them together to make my own awesome pie filling, I’m not going to even act like I have a decent pie crust recipe- beg your grandma for some help on that!!
For this recipe you need a handful of ingredients and 5 minutes to prep before baking!
Blackberry Peach Pie Filling
Combine sugar and corn starch in a large bowl with fruit, then fill your pie crust.
Bake according to the crust recipe. I like to add a little extra flavor to the top crust. To do this you’ll need:
Simply cover the crust with the melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon and nutmeg over the top!
After baking let cool. Enjoy with a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream!
